Option 1: Delhi to Jim Corbett by Road (Car / Cab)
Driving from Delhi to Jim Corbett (Ramnagar) is the most flexible option. The standard route is via NH-9 (Delhi–Moradabad Expressway): leave Delhi via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway toward Ghaziabad, join the NH-9 toward Moradabad, cross the Moradabad bypass, continue to Kashipur, then follow signs for Ramnagar. The route is well-maintained and largely expressway or four-lane highway until Kashipur.

Option 2: Delhi to Ramnagar by Train
Two trains run directly from Delhi to Ramnagar station:

The Ranikhet Express is the preferred train for most Corbett visitors — you leave Delhi at night, sleep on the train, and arrive at Ramnagar station fresh in the morning, with time for an afternoon safari on day 1. Book IRCTC sleeper or AC coaches at least 2–3 weeks in advance.
Option 3: Delhi to Pantnagar Airport (By Air)
Alliance Air and IndiGo operate seasonal flights from Delhi to Pantnagar Airport. The airport is approximately 80 km from Ramnagar (1.5 hours by road). Option 4: Delhi to Kathgodam by Train, then Cab
Kathgodam is the last major railhead before Jim Corbett — 62 km from Ramnagar. Multiple trains run from Delhi to Kathgodam (Shatabdi, Ranikhet Express all stop here). Many visitors prefer this option for faster trains to Kathgodam compared to the Ramnagar connection.
What to Do Once You Reach Ramnagar?
Ramnagar is the base town for Jim Corbett National Park. Most resorts and hotels are located along the Dhikuli strip (about 12–15 km from Ramnagar town, toward Garjiya and the park) or in town itself. Check-in by 12:30 PM to refresh before your afternoon safari. All safari gates — Amdanda (Bijrani), Garjiya, Dhangarhi (Dhikala), and Dhela — are within 1 to 32 km from Ramnagar.
